Consumers Energy Insulation and Windows Rebate Program
Visit the link above or ask your Capstone representative about the current incentives Consumers Energy is offering when you improve your homes insulation and windows (valid for Consumers Energy customers with natural gas or electric service). Homeowners can receive cash rebates on qualifying energy efficient improvements, up to $400 on insulation and $15 for each replacement window or $40 for each glass door opening.
Qualified services: Roof (attic) insulation, Wall insulation (above and/or below grade), Rim joist insulation, and Window & door replacement.
Federal Tax Credits
Windows, Doors, Skylights
Energy efficient windows, doors and skylights can reduce energy bills.
Tax Credit Amount: 10% of cost (not including installation costs), up to $200 for windows and skylights; up to $500 for doors. (Cumulative maximum tax credits
for windows, doors, and skylights for all years combined is $500)

Qualified roof products reflect more of the sun's rays, which can lower roof surface temperature by up to 100F, decreasing the amount of heat transferred into your home.

Requirements
Typical bulk insulation products can qualify, such as batts, rolls, blow-in fibers, rigid boards, expanding spray, and pour-in-place.
Products that air seal (reduce air leaks) can also qualify, as long as they come with a Manufacturers Certification Statement, including:
